Lft., ICC , in l.); c. gen. obj., I Co 8:4 ; metaph., corrosion, rust : Mt 6:19 , 20 . As also in cl. (Hom., al.) = βρῶμα , food : Jo 6:27a , II Co 9:10 , Col 2:16 (EV, but v. supr.).
