2 εὐλάβεια , -ας, ἡ ( εὐλαβής ), [in LXX: Je 22:24 ( דְּאָגָה ), Pr 28:14 , Wi 17:8 * ;] caution, discretion (Soph., Plat., al.). In later Gk. (Diod., Plut., al.), also reverence, godly fear : He 5:7 12:28 .† SYN. : v.s. δειλία (q.v.), φόβος (cf. Cremer, 387 f., 759; DB , ii. 222).
