2 ἡσύχιος , -α, -ον (= the more freq. ἥσυχος ; cf. Wi 18:14 , Si 25:20 ), [in LXX: Is 66:2 ( נְכֵה־רוּחַ )*;] quiet , tranquil : I Ti 2:2 , I Pe 3:4 .† SYN. : ἤρεμος , of tranquillity arising from without ; ἡ. , from within (v. Ellic. on I Ti 2:2 ; but also v. CGT , I Ti 2:2 .).†
