(M, Pr. , 205), Lk 18:10 ; with mention of place of departure, Mt 3:16 ( ἀπό ), Ac 8:39 ( ἐκ ); of things, to rise , spring up , come up : a fish, Mt 17:27 ; smoke, Re 8:4 ; plants growing, Mt 13:7 ; metaph., of things coming up in one's mind (as Heb. עָלָה אֶל לֵב ; IV Ki 12:4 , al.), Lk 24:38 , I Co 2:9 ; of prayers, Ac 10:4 ; messages, Ac 21:31 (for late exx., v. MM, VGT , s.v.).
