5 πατέω , -ῶ, , [in LXX for דּרךְ , etc.;] intrans., to tread , walk : seq. ἐπάνω ὄφεων κ.τ.λ. (fig.), Lk 10:19 (cf. Ps 90 (91):13 ). Trans., to tread on , trample : τ. ληνόν , Re 14:20 19:15 (cf. Jg 9:27 , La 1:15 , al.); of the desecration of Jerusalem by its enemies, Lk 21:24 , Re 11:2 (cf. κατα- , περι- , ἐν-περι-πατέω ).†
