1 ὑακίνθινος , -η, -ον ( ὑάκινθος ), [in LXX for תַּחַשׁ , תְּכֵלֶת ;] of hyacinth, hyacinthine (v.s. ὑάκινθος ), "doubtless meant to describe the blue smoke of a sulphurous flame" (Swete): Re 9:17 (Hom., Eur., al.).†
