5 Βηθσαιδά (Rec. -σαϊδά ), and -δάν ( Mt 11:21 , Mk 6:45 8:22 ), ἡ , indecl. (Syr., house of fish ), Bethsaida , a town on NE. shore of the Sea of Galilee: Lk 9:10 . It is generally supposed that a second Β. on the W. shore is referred to in Mt 11:21 , Mk 6:45 8:22 , Lk 10:13 , Jo 1:45 12:21 ( DB , i, 282 f.; but v. Swete on Mk 6:45 ). v.l. for Βηθζαθά , Βηθεσδά , Jo 5:2 .†
